Founder & Principal Attorney
Charles Dutko grew up in Berks County and has spent his career serving the families and individuals who call this community home. After earning his law degree from Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law, he returned to Kutztown — because he believes that estate planning is most meaningful when it's done by an attorney who understands the community, the families, and the values at stake.
Charles focuses exclusively on estate planning and estate administration as a will attorney and trust attorney for Berks County families. That focus means his clients get an attorney who has seen nearly every situation a family can face — and who knows how to navigate each one with clarity, compassion, and care.

Why we started Berkleigh Law
Too many families come to us after a crisis — after a loved one has passed without a will, after an incapacitated parent left no power of attorney, after a business owner's death left partners and heirs in conflict. These situations are painful, expensive, and almost always preventable.
Berkleigh Law was founded to change that. We work with families before the hard moments arrive — helping them build plans that protect their assets, honor their wishes, and spare their loved ones unnecessary hardship. It's not glamorous work, but it's some of the most important work a lawyer can do.
